How to Buy a Print

You can buy a print of any image on this website, in a range of sizes and styles. It’s important to me that you get a finished product that pleases you – but is also produced at the high level of quality I want to deliver. Choosing the wrong paper (or the wrong printer) can turn those beautiful blues to muddy green or you could wind up with a print that has so much light reflecting off its surface that you can’t see the image itself.

Because quality is important to both of us, I don’t sell digital files for prints. You can choose from the print types below and we can discuss lots of presentation options. Other sizes are possible, depending on the image and whether it can be done without cutting off important parts of it.

Premium Quality Prints on Metal

Printing on metal is relatively new in the photography world, but it’s the process that I think makes these images look best. Dyes is infused into a coated metal surface and not on top of it. The resulting prints take on a beautiful luminescence and details are sharp. This is also the most durable type of print, tested to be 2 to 4 times more stable than traditional photo papers. The surface is also durable.

Prices show below are for the print on metal only. Satin finish is standard. High gloss is available but not recommended because of surface reflections.

If your image is suitable for a sheer treatment that allows the metal surface to show through the image, that’s available at no extra cost.

Mounting, framing and float hangers are available for an extra cost. Ask about wall clusters or splits – or unique, Creative Edge shapes.

Premium Quality Prints on Canvas

Images are printed directly only museum quality canvas material using high quality archival inks, then stretched over a stretcher similar to those used for oil paintings. The finished product can be hung as-is with no frame needed and the effect is softer and more painting-like.

1.5 inch stretchers are standard. Thicker or thinner stretchers and/or float frames are available for an extra cost.

High Quality Prints on Paper

Prints on traditional photo paper are a low-cost option.

Kodak ENDURA professional photo paper with a fine grain pebble texture is standard. Kodak ENDURA Metallic and Fuji Pearl paper available at no extra cost, but not recommended because of surface reflections.

Mounting and/or framing are extra. Ask about the low-coast gatorfoam mount I use for my home photo gallery.
